The kind of writing that speaks to me, the kind that makes me sit up and pay attention, is writing that has humanity to it. So that’s what I bring to every job. Jargon is easy to write, but it is hard to fall in love with. I specialise in getting to the heart of your message, and in making sure that message hits the heart of the reader.
I have fifteen-plus years of professional writing under my belt. I’ve written speeches, web copy, social media content, direct mail pieces, posters, press ads, press releases, radio and TV spots, emails. I’ve even written a few poems (no, you can’t read them).
For the past five years I've served first as Copywriter, then as Senior Copywriter, at Brighton-based On Agency. This agency works exclusively in the charity and fundraising sector, and is the winner two years running of the Institute of Fundraising's 'Best Creative Agency' award.
And just In case you're wondering whether I have a degree in Japanese, relax. I do.
