Medical Aid for Palestinians 2014 Christmas Appeal
The summer of 2014 was a devastating one for the people of Gaza -- a flare-up in military tensions with Israel led to a 51-day war in which more than 2,000 Gaza residents were killed and thousands more were left homeless, facing a harsh oncoming winter. For its Christmas appeal, Medical Aid for Palestinians wanted to thanks all those supporters who gave in response to this terrible situation, but they also wanted to impress upon donors the need for ongoing support. The result was this pack, which combined a hard-hitting letter with a warm, engaging Christmas card and a hard-working advent calendar. The pack smashed its targets, bringing in more than double the amount expected, with an astonishing response rate of 25%.
